Allergen Friendly Meal Delivery Roanoke: What Chef Spoon Promises

Walk into most kitchens with a dietary restriction and what you get handed is a workaround. There's the menu everyone else is ordering from, and then there's the one thing they can make for you.

I've never wanted to run my kitchen that way. Accommodating a restriction means the menu got designed for everybody else first and adjusted once you spoke up. Building for it means your needs were in the room before I wrote the first dish.

At 3112 Meal Prep, every entrée I make is gluten free. Not a marked section, not two options with a symbol next to them, but the whole menu of 10 entrée options, and a new one goes up every two weeks. And on the Family Pack side, there are always fully vegan dishes on the menu, not one token option tucked at the bottom.

Why I Cook This Way

I have a severe wheat allergy, serious enough that a mistake isn't a bad afternoon, it's a trip to the hospital. I've been living with it since 2019, and in that time I've learned to read every label twice and ask servers questions until I'm sure, even when it feels like I'm asking a hundred of them.

That's not a relaxed way to eat. It's not a relaxed way to trust someone else's kitchen, either. I know exactly what it feels like to sit down at a table and wonder if what's in front of me is actually safe, or if I'm about to find out the hard way.

So when I built this business, treating dietary restrictions as an afterthought was never going to be an option. I've lived on the other side of that conversation too many times to build a kitchen that way.

I also named this business after my two children, Tristan and Raygen, and I've been cooking for them a lot longer than I've been cooking for customers.

Cooking for your own kids sets a standard that's hard to walk back from. You're not building a menu you can defend to a customer, you're building one you'd put in front of people you love. So when I think about somebody sitting at their own dinner table eating a plainer plate than everyone around them, whether that's my own kid or yours, the fix was never a special plate.

It was a better menu.

Cooking From Scratch Is What Makes It Possible

None of this works in a kitchen that leans on shortcuts. Pre-made sauces and packaged bases come with ingredient lists twenty items long, and suppliers change what's in them without telling anybody.

I shop fresh for every order and cook from scratch. Short ingredient lists aren't only a quality decision for me, they're the thing that lets me give you a straight answer.

What I'll Promise You and What I Won't

The fastest way to lose somebody with a food allergy is to promise more than you can deliver, so here's exactly where I stand.

Every entrée I make is gluten free. That one doesn't move. My side items are not guaranteed gluten free, so ask me before you add them.

For Severe Allergies, Call First

I live with a severe allergy myself, so I don't take this lightly. For severe allergies or celiac disease, cross contact is a separate question from ingredients and it deserves a conversation rather than a sentence on a website. Call me at 540-814-2942 or use the contact page before your first order and I'll tell you exactly how your meals would be handled. If that answer isn't what you need to hear, I'd rather tell you than sell you something you shouldn't be eating.
